A gem sculpture, portraying “Victory” with her wings closed, lamenting over the sea of fallen heroes. Victory is carved in tourmalinated quartz. The heroes’ faces, sculpted in wax, were cast in sterling silver. The “sea” is symbolized by the neon blue drusy hemimorphite. The red flames in the base symbolize the heroes’ blood.
